Let It Rain

I went outside for a walk today
And found I had a lot to say
Mother Nature was calling my name

I told the stream I was walking by
Not to rise to fast or to get to high
Cause I like to sit and watch the fish swim by

In the pouring rain
I was feeling kind of old
In the pouring rain
I was searching for my soul
In the pouring rain
I found my pot of gold
If the sun don’t shine tomorrow
Let it rain

I felt the wind blowing through my hair
Yet still I sat and didn’t care
The lightning flashed and the sky began to cry

The cold rain fell upon my face
I felt my heart begin to race
Embrace me Mother Nature, don’t let me go

In the pouring rain
I was feeling kind of old
In the pouring rain
I was searching for my soul
In the pouring rain
I found my pot of gold
If the sun don’t shine tomorrow
Let it rain

That is beautiful. I could use a bit of time myself to be one with nature and reflect.

Kelly,

Thanks! I actually wrote that sitting along side of a place called Pennypak Creek. The funny thing was I almost got struck by lightning that day. Talk about inspiration.

mteodor,

It's kind of funny that I never looked at it that way. I guess that is what I do. I think life in it self is an art for all of us. Thanks so much for your incite.

Wendy,

I hope it stops raining where you are. I wish I had some rain here. We have had no rain for a while now. Thank you so much for the compliment, I truly feel a sense of accomplishment when I hear nice things from others.

Thank you all!
